HDFC Bank Updates Debit Card Lounge Access Policy: Voucher-Based Entry From January 2026

December 10, 2025

HDFC Bank has announced a major update to its airport lounge access program for debit cardholders. Starting January 10, 2026, lounge entry will no longer be provided through debit card swiping. Instead, the bank is introducing a voucher-based lounge access system for all eligible HDFC debit cards.

What’s Changing in HDFC Debit Card Lounge Access?

Under the revised policy, customers must meet a quarterly spend requirement of ₹10,000 to qualify for airport lounge access. Once this condition is met:

HDFC Bank will send an SMS or email to the customer’s registered contact details.

This communication will include a secure link to claim the airport lounge access voucher.

After claiming, the voucher can be used instantly at participating lounges—eliminating the need to swipe the physical debit card.

This shift aims to streamline entry and make lounge access verification more digital and controlled.

How to Claim the HDFC Lounge Access Voucher

  1. Meet the quarterly spend benchmark of ₹10,000..
  2. Look out for the official SMS/email from HDFC Bank.
  3. Open the provided link and claim your lounge voucher.
  4. Show the digital voucher at the eligible airport lounge for entry.

Eigible Lounges and Terms

HDFC Bank will continue offering access to its network of empaneled domestic airport lounges.

Customers can view the detailed list of lounges, updated terms, and complete conditions using the link shared by the bank in its communication.
